Strategic Challenge

This global Energy & Commodities Finance (ECF) player was under extreme pressure from international regulatory bodies to review its operations and risk management practices to avoid potential multi-billion fines and a cessation of activity.

Approach

  1. We conducted a comprehensive analysis of the international, industry, and internal regulatory frameworks of the ECF business. We then mapped a Business Compliance Map with the relevant ones.

  2. We conducted a value chain analysis of ECF four business lines to identify areas of concern.

  3. We translated the Business Compliance Map into a Business Compliance Value Chain serving as the foundation of the ECF business to ensure full compliance of future operations.

  4. We integrated ECF 4 business lines value chains redesign into the Business Compliance Value Chain.
